How do I convert a PNG to SVG?
Drop your PNG in, pick the image type that matches your artwork, and the tool traces it into vector shapes automatically. Adjust the colour count if you want a simpler or richer result, then download the SVG.
Can I choose how many colours the SVG uses?
Yes. Set anywhere from 2 to 24 colours, and you can also tap any individual colour in the palette to remove it from the SVG entirely. Fewer colours means fewer paths and a smaller, cleaner file.
Can it remove a white background?
Yes. The tool detects flat backgrounds automatically and turns on transparency for you, and you can adjust how much of the background colour gets removed with a slider.
Does it work on AI-generated art?
It works very well on AI art, logos, and clip art, because those tend to have flat areas of colour. Use the Photograph preset with a higher colour count for richer images, and Logo or Silhouette for crisp flat shapes.
Is the SVG good enough for Cricut, vinyl, or laser cutting?
Yes. The Silhouette preset produces a single-colour SVG with clean closed paths, which is what cutting machines expect. Raise speckle removal to drop stray specks that would otherwise become tiny cut lines.
