Where are my notes stored?
In your browser's local storage, on your device only. They never touch a server, which is why no account is needed.
Can I lose my notes?
Notes persist across visits, but clearing your browser data deletes them, use the one-click Markdown or JSON export for backups of anything important.
Can I access notes from another device?
No, by design there's no sync and no cloud. Export a note and move the file if you need it elsewhere.
Can I add pictures and place them where I want?
Yes. Drop images straight onto a note and drag them anywhere, then resize them. The PNG export keeps every image exactly where you placed it.
Can I dictate a note with my voice?
Yes. Tap the mic, speak, and stop, and it transcribes your voice to text right on your device using a local speech model. Nothing is uploaded.
Can I share a note as an image?
Yes, one click renders the note as a pastel PNG card (with its color theme and the Starlight logo), perfect for posting or sending.
