FAQ

What metadata do photos actually contain?

Usually the camera or phone model, the exact date and time, exposure settings, editing software — and if location was on, the GPS coordinates of where the photo was taken. Anyone you send the file to can read all of it.

How does the remover clean a photo?

It re-renders the image pixels into a brand-new file. Metadata lives alongside the pixels, not inside them, so the new file contains the picture and nothing else. The tool shows you what was found before and confirms zero metadata after.

Does removing metadata change image quality?

PNGs are rebuilt losslessly. JPEGs are re-encoded at very high quality — in practice indistinguishable, and the file often gets slightly smaller because the metadata is gone.

Is it safe for sensitive photos?

Yes — the whole process runs on your device. Nothing is uploaded, which is the point of a privacy tool.
